Length and wheelbase vary by shape; width is the key starting point.

7.5″ – 7.8″ Youth, smaller riders Lighter, quicker flips; less foot space.
8.0″ - 8.125" All-around street/park Great starting point for most skaters.
8.25" – 8.3″ Street & park balance More landing room; still flicks well.
8.5″ - 8.75 Park, bowls, transition Extra stability and control at speed.
9.0" + Vert, cruise, bigger feet, Swampy Stable ride; flips feel heavier.

Shoe size tip: US Men’s 6–8 ≈ 7.75–8.0″ • 9–11 ≈ 8.0–8.5″ • 11.5+ ≈ 8.5″+. Preference varies.
