Deck Sizing

Choose deck width based on your style, terrain, and shoe size.
Length and wheelbase vary by shape; width is the key starting point.

Deck Width Best For Notes
7.5″ – 7.8″ Youth, smaller riders Lighter, quicker flips; less foot space.
8.0″ - 8.125" All-around street/park Great starting point for most skaters.
8.25" – 8.3″ Street & park balance More landing room; still flicks well.
8.5″ - 8.75 Park, bowls, transition Extra stability and control at speed.
9.0" + Vert, cruise, bigger feet, Swampy Stable ride; flips feel heavier.

Shoe size tip: US Men’s 6–8 ≈ 7.75–8.0″ • 9–11 ≈ 8.0–8.5″ • 11.5+ ≈ 8.5″+. Preference varies.

  • Durometer: 99A = classic street; 101A = harder/faster (smooth parks); 78A–87A = soft/cruiser/rough ground.
  • Contact patch: Wider = more grip/stability; narrower = easier slides.
  • Wheelbite tip: Bigger wheels may need risers and/or firmer bushings.
